I will try though.After 20 years of turning my back on Messiah and Christianity in general due to lack of any meaningful upbringing, and lack of any meaningful understanding, I have finally found my Beloved Savior for the first time. I began my quest to know God the Father and Jesus the Son by reading my Bible for the first time all the way through. While I gained some knowledge I know most of it slipped by me and that is when I began searching for a deeper truth.And I found this treasure of truth by Zola Levitt. What a gift we are given and it has been hidden in plain sight right in front of our eyes the entire time.Thank you Zola Levitt for helping ones like me gain a better appreciation of the amazing gift of our Messiah.If you are a Christian, a Follower of Jesus Christ, a believer in Messiah... and you do not know the meanings of the Feasts of Israel, aside from basic surface knowledge of them, you must read this book. I guarantee it will change your whole understanding and take you deeper spiritually.
This 31 page (in my original paper booklet) teaching focuses on the 7 Levitical Feasts (Leviticus 23) which the Jews have celebrated thru the millennia, in their calendar year. Zola traces how this calendar of feasts was or will be fulfilled by Jesus and stands as a prophetic declaration of the events past, and yet to come for Israel and the Church. Christians as Zola correctly points out are not responsible to keep these feasts, but as he says, a knowledge of them greatly enhances our faith. And I may add, gives us greater understanding of the prophetic timetable of events.I encountered Zola about 30 years ago. I heard him speak just once in a small church in a small town. I've never looked at things the same since.Over the years I've enjoyed other authors on this subject, but I never saw it presented so briefly, the "Readers Digest" version. If you want to go further some very good longer books on the Feasts are available such as Ancient Messianic Festivals or The Feasts of the Lord: God's Prophetic Calendar From Calvary to the Kingdom and there are many more good ones just in paper book form too. This booklet started me off reading on the subject.Zola's value in this booklet isn't just the concise clear teaching, it is also the balance he displays returning the Jewish mindset and culture to the church that was originally there in the first century. Seeing thru Jewish eyes brings greater understanding of our faith, it's foundations. We are grafted into the olive tree after all. Some of us, like Zola are Jewish believers to begin with and others are Gentiles. As the passage in this booklet points out, there are 2 components to the church corresponding to the 2 wave offerings of Pentecost. These "first fruits" come in two "flavours". Jew and Gentile, forming the church. The church doesn't ever REPLACE Israel in God's dealings thru history, nor does the church BECOME Israel. Zola deals with these 2 errors over and over setting the believer securely on the foundation built by the apostles, avoiding the errors of replacement theology or hyper Messianic churches.This booklet in it's simplicity and beauty along with the one on Passover The Miracle of Passover are ideal for understanding a Jewish friend and explaining the Jewish roots of Christianity and how Jesus fulfilled the Messianic prophecies of what we call the Old Testament. This one has an overview of each feast and how Jesus fulfills the feast but the one on Passover goes into that feast in depth.I cannot over emphasize the value of Zola and his gift for making things simple. As another favourite Christian author Dr. J. Vernon McGee once said--"putting the cookies on the bottom shelf" meaning that the truths of the gospel should remain accessible to all believers regardless of their age or mental abilities. The rule I abide by in teaching (Home School, Bible Studies and Sunday School classes) is that anything taught will be better absorbed, retained and used thru life if it is presented in the simplest possible form.I was so grieved to hear of Zola's passing a few years back. I got my Kindle the summer of 2011 and have consistently checked every few months to see if Zola's work made it to Kindle. I was so happy yesterday to find this here along with many others in his booklet series. It seems that only one remains to be "kindle-ized". That is "The Signs of the End" and I look forward to seeing it soon.I am happy to say that whoever was doing the job of creating the Kindle version of these booklets did a superb job. The clickable table of contents works well in each book, the formatting and the text are unchanged, as is the cover art. Small details, but someone put loving care and attention to making sure these gems are perfect in their Kindle setting.I can't recommend them highly enough, 5 stars hardly covers how I feel about Zola's work. Don't despise them for their size or price. This one, and it's siblings are some of the best things you will ever have.And for those who homeschool as I did, please consider these to introduce upper elementary and middle schoolers to this content. I used them in personal Bible study with my children, and like McGee's stuff, these are so easy for the young to understand, that they are valuable just in that context alone.Simple concise teaching is a jewel. For pastors, teachers and Bible Study leaders, your students may not have the ability to grasp and retain long scholarly dissertations, but this they can easily absorb into busy overloaded stress filled lives. Ditto for personal study.
I loved the way Zola showed the connection between the feasts in the Old Testament and the Rapture. Even though I have been a Christian since age 9 and am now 73, I never learned much about the feasts. I am really sorry that I waited so long. Most pastors do not preach a lot about the OT and it is a shame. The OT is revealed in the NT and the NT is hidden in the old. It is paramount that we learn about both in order to have a good understanding of God's word. I am working on learning as much as I can about God's people Israel and praying each day for peace in Jerusalem as we are instructed in Psalm 122. Things are happening very fast and end times are approaching quickly. We need to be as prepared as possible and that includes knowing how the feasts and the blood moons fit into end times things. D. I read this many, many years ago. During a Bible study at church, we began discussing the Jewish feasts and I remembered this book. I couldn't find the old copy I had but was thrilled to find it on Amazon and in Kindle format! Also, as an Obstetric RN for 40 years, the comparison study regarding the feasts and the development of a human totally is awesome. I know Zola has been rejoicing in Heaven for several years now, but his teachings go on!!
Zola is a great teacher of the truths of God whose teaching extends to us & future generations, even though he has gone on to be with the Lord. He takes us through the first feasts of Israel with good application to the Christian life. However, there are some applications that seem a bit speculative. This is especially true in the section on pregnancy & child birth...some of this chapter seems a bit of a stretch. Nevertheless, a good book.
Very interesting and I especially liked his conclusions after he had presented all of the feasts. It is exciting to see how God has given us a preview of His plans for His people using these feasts! His information on human pregnancy and how it can be tied into these feasts was something that I had never heard before and was a blessing to me. I would recommend this book to anyone.
I could not hold back the tears of great joy when reading of the seven feast days, which I had studied many times and reaped such blessing and what they held for me. I've been a serious student of scripture for 40 years and on this night an answer came to a prayer uttered many times seeking the wisdom of GOD. Through this little book and that still small voice of a HOLY GOD who spoke to me, a sinner, unworthy of the least of His blessings, the answer. I always marvel at the unspeakable wisdom of my LORD and His Holy Word !!!

I knew next to nothing about military aircraft before buying this book. My eleven year old son dreams of being a pilot and collects every book on flight or planes he can. I gave him this book for a Christmas present. He lovingly tucked it into his stash, read it in bed, and even carried it with his many Lego volumes. (That is HIGH praise right there!) I have since learned much more about military aircraft!The book is large enough to give him hours of reading. The pictures are clear and detailed. My only complaint is I wish it had a hardcover option. I see clear packaging tape or contact paper in this book's future. ;-)
The book has a lot of illustrations, but many of the pages are nothing more than the same aircraft repeated in different color schemes.There are a lot of errors, including several aircraft that are either mislabeled or have the wrong illustration.The descriptions are also extremely brief.
Continuing his tradition of writing aviation books, Jim Winchester illustrates military aircraft with detailed artwork, specifications, and brief details in this guide, arranging them chronologically by theater or type. One aspect of this book that was lacking in Enzo Angelucci's book on military aircraft is the inclusion of the Myasishchev M-50 Bounder, but also the latest air superiority fighters built by the US and Europe and experimental VTOL aircraft. But again, this book doesn't include helicopters, even though it includes tiltrotors.
If you want a book with a large number of profiles views of aircraft, this is it. If you want a book with accurate description of those aircraft, leave this behind. The text is tiny, and perhaps that is why the editors missed so many obvious errors. And many that would be less obvious to many. In the obvious category, try getting the number of engines wrong for a particular model.
All of the aircraft in this book are arranged by era, WWI, Golden Age, WWII, Korea, Viet Nam etc (my titles, not the author's) and by Country. This works much better than the alphabetical approach in other encyclopedia.The illustrations are all drawings, not photos, but they're good quality, and the text is succinct but adequate.Overall, I find it to be a useful and accessible reference book.
In many ways this book is the successor to The Rand McNally Encyclopedia Of Military Aircraft, 1914-1980 by Enzo Angelucci and provides a very good selection of brief summaries of major military aircraft. Despite the low price I found only one major error. The section of the Suez War has a Hawker Seahawk picture repeated twice rather than showing the French F-84 given in the description.
My grandson loves airplanes and has an interest in history. This is perfect for him so he can understand their identifying signs on the planes and the purpose for each one.
I got this for my 9 year old nephew for his birthday. He was very excited to look through it. Color pictures of all aircraft, when and what they were used for. Very nice book.

Having read all of Sitchin's Earth Chronicle series, I had to get this one, even though I hate buying hardcovers. The book is a narrative by the author of some of his road trips to places of historical significance enumerated in the series.It's one thing to read about his theories on history, but it's even better to see the color plates of artifacts that corroborate his theories, or photos of stone structures, weighing over 100 tons, that were used in the Anunnaki spaceport design. (You can choose not to believe it, but have you got a better explanation?)It was interesting to see the length he would go to testing the feasibility of his theories, even though mythology, astrology, the Bible, archeology and historical writings already supported them. This was the case in Mount Sinai Mysteries - with the Sinai changing hands from Israeli to Egyptian on a weekly basis, and Sitchin trying to get permission for a fly-over then attempting to charter a helicopter.The Chapters on the Temple Mount offered up a little intrigue, when Sitchin tried to get access to the space below the Foundation Rock. Name dropping didn't work, but bribes did. And what did he find? Well, it wasn't Pee Wee Herman's stolen bicycle. That was in the basement of the Alamo.Some of his books are hard to read, since the reader gets bogged down keeping track of which god is "begetting" his half-sister or one of his own daughters. But this book was easy to read and informative. Great book.
Sitchin's other books are done as a scholar, studying the Sumerian tablets. in this book he takes students on trips to see the things he wrote about, and they discover things that no one knew were there before, that confirm the tablets.many times when they went to a museum to see a particular artifact, it was not there and they had to write letters and get uneasy officials to arrange for them to see the things which were hidden in dusty drawers.at times this is the story of a sweet old jewish man doing daring things, like the hero in the traders of the lost arc. it is a book that gives one hope that we will all be able to know the truths that were denied to us, very soon.
Every book in the Earth Chronicles series is a delight to read. You may not agree with all of Sitchin's theories regarding Nibiru and the Anunnaki, but his chronology of ancient history and global events is spot-on, and his understanding of Sumerian mythology and language is impeccable. Regardless of the personal conclusions you arrive at after reading his work, I can certainly guarantee that you will also come away with a much greater sense of possibility for our ancient past, and the realization that there is much, much more to our history than we've ever been led to believe. In my opinion, it is the great work of researchers like Zecharia Sitchin and others that will ultimately bridge the gap between evolution and creationism, and finally reveal to us the long-hidden truths about our celestial origins.
This was a great book to read and Sitchin shows time and time again that some of the ancient mysteries and technology rival what we can produce now.
This is a really good book. Filled with information. A lot of this information, I've never heard about before. MOST of his books are great.
A Sitchin classic! His documentation and interpretation of ancient myths is unmatched by any contemparary scholar. No other researcher in his field can compare to his intense logic, focused common sense or ability to draw conclusions based strictly on the evidence rather than on conventional wisdom, cultural tradition or academic narrow-mindedness. A must read as a continuation of Sitchin's Earth Chronicles series.

About the Author
Mick Grant has been coaching youth athletes for over 30 years with astonishing success. Parents of many ordinary local kids have requested him to coach their children to become better runners. Mick rarely recruited athletes; they came to him and most had minimal or no background in the sport before starting with him. The results he has gotten are nothing short of remarkable including National Champions six consecutive years and having qualified athletes for the Olympic Trials, Hershey National Championships 12 years in a row. Mick Grant and John Molvar have written a guide to youth and teen running that is based on sound approach, principles and practical applications. As a former Division 1 college cross country and track & field athlete, and having coached my two sons for the past 10 years, I have not found a youth and teen running guide that is so complete and in depth, expert yet approachable, and illustrated with tons of credible and motivational examples of athletes coached by Grant and Molvar. I would highly recommend this as the FIRST guide for youth and teen athletes, coaches and parents. I am having my two sons read is as well.Everything in "The Youth and Teen Running Encyclopedia: A Complete Guide for Middle and Long Distance Runners Ages 6 to 18" has been field tested and with impressive results. Grant and Molvar believe in a goal-oriented, developmental approach to running that focuses on fun, progressive and consistent training that builds success and rewards over the long-term. The authors present a comprehensive framework and expand on the components of that framework with rich, detailed and logical sections that include both principles and practical applications, and illustrate them with real sample workouts used by Grant's and Molvar's coached athletes. And there are lots of "don'ts" with explanation of consequences if runners and coaches fail to follow what is recommended.The guide covers topics that I think are important for youth and teen runners, but that other guides omit, including focus on setting goals and achieving improvement, importance of endurance training and "putting money in the bank", importance of injury prevention, too much racing and mental burnout, heart rate to measure training intensity, differences between male and female teen runners, strength training, sleep and nutrition, and use of training logs.The icing on the cake is the wrap-up that emphasizes the key points of the guide and includes a progressive outline of John Molvar's training of his two sons and their achievements, including changes Molvar made from year to year and the resulting impact (and tying Molvar's training to specific sections of the guide - just in case the reader has any doubts that it works).For me, the guide reinforced many of the things that I am already doing as a coach for my two sons, introduced new training that I have adopted since learning from Grant and Molvar, and (I'm not afraid to say it) changed some things that may not have the intended benefit.
I wish I had this book when I ran in high school. My coach was a nice guy, actually a Jesuit priest. He was well intentioned but knew little about long distance coaching. For cross country season he would have us run a mile or two. Never any longer distances. Never ran on weekends. For indoors only ran 4 to 6 quarter miles five days a week and that was it. I guess we made up for it by having dual meets every week. With little distance work and always running fewer than 10 miles total per week I was still able to run a 2:08 half mile.In my early thirties I ran maybe 20 miles a week and ran races every week, the opposite of what the book suggests. My pace for these 6.2 mile races was 6.1 to 6.3 minutes per mile. But did I collect a lot of race T-shirts.In my mid thirties I trained for a marathon, running 60 miles a week (this training guide suggests a lot of long runs putting money in the Bank). What a difference. Three weeks after running a marathon, I ran a 10 mile race in 57 minutes! I proved what this encyclopedia suggests, fewer races and more distance runs to improve your times. I wonder what my high school half mile times would have been if I had this book as a training guide?I highly recommend this book. It is useful for coaches as well as youth runners and even runners in their thirties and forties.

A "must read" is far over used, but in this case, this book is a must read for all parents, coaches and kids. The book is not only an encyclopedia, but rather a well-constructed blueprint for success. Read once through and keep forever as a complete reference guide. Following the principles outlined in this book will result in a rewarding running experience and steady improvement each and every year. Coaches, please for the sake of your program, digest every page of this book!! You will rediscover the importance of long term development rather than short term results. Making the appropriate changes will propel your program to next level. Every aspect of training and racing with specific dos, and more importantly the don'ts are covered in great detail.
While reading on a subject that I consider "my own", my opinions danced in several directions, but at the conclusion, my impression was that this book is not only comprehensive, but serves as an invaluable resource for coaches, runners, and parents of runners; and one that I'll use to make some modifications to future training regimens that I prescribe. Information on youth running is nearly non-existent, and sorely lacking; and the sport itself is questionable in many parents' minds, unlike swimming and other comparable endurance sports. The "truth" lies within this publication, in how important it is for high school and college aged runners to begin as early in life as they do so many traditional sports. Development as a runner goes far beyond what talent can bring, and the process is lengthy in order to be healthy and lasting.
